Job Description
We are looking for a full-time front end developer who can both design and build our current and future websites and applications
(internal and external). With technology changing rapidly, the ability to stay up to date is an advantage. This is a full-time
in-office position in Toronto, working alongside our Sr. developer. Starting salary of $40,000–$45,000 annually.
You will be provided all necessary training resources and mentoring by peers.
Major Responsibilities
-Technically competent front end programmer with familiarity and some experience in: JavaScript (BackboneJS, AngularJS, Svelte, jQuery) / HTML5 / Bootstrap / JSON / CSS3 / UI/UX Design / XML.
-Able to both design (Adobe Suite) and implement graphics in code.
-Expertise in browser-related languages and techniques, with a strong understanding of browser limitations and platform-specific quirks.
-Experience developing multi-platform client-side web applications (mobile and desktop, browser extensions).
-Server-side scripting is a major plus (PHP, Node.js, Ruby) / Ajax.
-Experience with e-commerce storefronts using Shopify and Shopify Plus.
-Passion for good design, usability and performance on the web.
-Understanding and implementation of SEO best practices.
-Ability to set milestones and meet deadlines.
Minor Responsibilities
-Online marketing (social media: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
-Analyzing data from Google Analytics
-Familiarity with Wi-Fi and IT technologies is a plus but not mandatory
